Overview

The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist at OhioHealth plays a crucial role in assisting the Neuro Interventional Radiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures. The position requires expertise in using X-ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile techniques while ensuring safety and quality in patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Interventionalist in Neuro Interventional procedures
  • Greet patients and check charts for required data
  • Explain procedures and answer patients' questions
  • Participate in room turnover and patient transport
  • Assist Radiation Safety officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel
  • Use radiation safety principles and maintain accurate safety records

Required skills

  • State of Ohio Radiologic Licensure
  • ARRT Registered
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and cerebral angiogram coiling
  • Proficiency in fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound
  • Understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and arrhythmia monitoring
