Overview

The Net Loft Shop Superintendent at Pacific Netting Products, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at the Net Loft fabrication shop and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This supervisory role includes hiring and training staff, managing safety protocols, and ensuring quality control in all fabrication processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at the Net Loft fabrication shop and yard
  • Manage hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring of staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety measures and best practices
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and orders
  • Enter labor hours and materials into the ERP system
  • Participate in estimating project requirements
  • Conduct daily Job Hazard Analysis and morning safety meetings
  • Provide routine feedback and support staff's professional development
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed
  • Maintain accurate inventory of materials
  • Conduct performance evaluations for net loft employees
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee grievances
  • Lead QA/QC documentation and reporting
  • Oversee material organization and project preparations

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or college degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • Experience with ERP software (i.e., SAP)
