This role is responsible for driving enterprise solution architecture across Microsoft and Java-based platforms, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions.The ideal candidate will lead the adoption of AI-augmented development specifically leveraging GitHub Copilot across teams to accelerate delivery while upholding strict standards for security, accessibility (WCAG), and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities Architectural Leadership: Design secure, scalable .NET (C#/ASP.NET Core) applications and SQL Server solutions utilizing clean architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and performance optimization patterns. Enterprise Strategy: Develop architectures spanning multiple applications, services, APIs, databases, and integration platforms. Data Management: Design robust data models, advanced T-SQL (stored procedures, indexing, partitioning, Query Store tuning), and High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) strategies for high-volume transactional systems. Integration: Define integration strategies for enterprise systems, including REST APIs, messaging authentication, and data exchange between diverse platforms. AI-Augmented Development: Drive the adoption of GitHub Copilot, including custom instructions, prompt engineering, AI-assisted refactoring, and automated code reviews/testing. Standards & Mentorship: Establish architecture and coding standards, design patterns, and technical best practices. Mentor development teams on effective patterns and AI tool usage. Modernization: Lead technical design efforts to migrate legacy systems into cloud-native applications, evaluate technical debt, and develop phased migration roadmaps. DevSecOps: Design and implement modern software delivery practices, including source control strategies, branching models, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and zero-trust security principles. Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and software products to provide recommendations aligned with long-term technology strategies.Required / Desired Skills Software engineering Required - 8 Years Application/Solution Architect on enterprise .NET and SQL Server projects in complex environments. Required - 4 Years Expert-level C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Web API, and modern .NET practices (clean architecture, minimal APIs, DI, async/await patter Required - 4 Years Advanced SQL Server: complex T-SQL optimization, execution plans, indexing strategies, security (RLS, DDM), and Always On availability groups. Required - 4 Years Daily professional experience with GitHub Copilot for .NET/C# development, including advanced configuration and team enablement. Required - 4 Years Proven hands-on experience converted data from legacy systems to modernization application data models. Required - 4 Years Strong secure SDLC, Entra ID/managed identities, API security, and enterprise governance experience; excellent communication and stakeholder skills. Required - 4 Years Public sector, utilities, or regulated industry experience with strict compliance and accessibility mandates. Required - 4 Years Familiarity with legacy modernization, IBM FileNet/BAW; Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications Required - 4 Years Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent Required - 4 Years
