Overview

VieMed Healthcare Staffing is looking for a dedicated Neonatology Physician with a specialization in Maternal Fetal Medicine to join their team on a locum basis in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality maternal healthcare services, focusing on high-risk pregnancy management within a team-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide expert maternal fetal medicine services in both office and inpatient settings
  • Perform high-risk pregnancy assessments including amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including NPs and genetic counselors
  • Manage complex high-risk pregnancies with conditions such as pre-eclampsia and genetic disorders
  • Ensure precise documentation using EPIC and Viewpoint EMR systems

Required skills

  • Board certification or eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Experience performing amniocentesis and managing high-risk pregnancies
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric ultrasound and fetal monitoring
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with supporting staff
