Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Near Field Range Engineer to utilize their expertise in antenna and radome measurements, particularly focusing on near field range tests and electromagnetic simulation. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical leadership, mentorship, and contributing to significant defense initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct measurements of AESAs in a near field range
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Process and analyze measurement results using MATLAB
  • Develop new tools when commercial off-the-shelf solutions are insufficient
  • Travel to integration sites and customer facilities as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in antenna or radar analysis and hardware design
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST
  • Proficient in MATLAB for data processing
  • Technical writing, proposal writing, and presentation skills
  • Strong background in Microwave Engineering and related fields
