Overview

Butternut Mountain Farm is seeking a National Sales Manager for the Foodservice & Specialty Food sector to drive sales strategy development and manage key relationships within these channels. This role is critical for expanding the company's reach in the foodservice market while maintaining strong ties with existing customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of foodservice distributors, operators, specialty customers, and brokers.
  • Research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities within the foodservice and specialty channels.
  • Define annual strategy for customer set, including portfolio changes and promotional strategies.
  • Analyze pricing and profitability for designated channels and implement price changes.
  • Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, annual budget, and customer pipeline in CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development teams for new product launches.
  • Leverage CRM and data tools to streamline work and prioritize opportunities.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
  • 5-10 years' experience in CPG sales, ideally in foodservice or specialty channels
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software, data and analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and trends
  • Financial acumen for revenue growth and pricing decisions
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and trade shows
