Manage and maintain databases Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades. Handle database objects such as tables, indexes, schemas, and tablespaces. Monitor database health, capacity, and growth trend. Analyze and optimize queries, indexes, and database structures. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and slow queries. Conduct performance tuning using diagnostic tools (AWR, EXPLAIN plans, etc.). Improve database efficiency through continuous tuning and refinement. Secondary Skills: o Manage database users, roles, privileges, and access controls. o Ensure database security standards and compliance policies are followed. o Implement authentication, encryption, and auditing mechanisms. o Ensure minimal downtime and high data availability. o Manage failover and failback processes. o Strong experience in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL. Expertise in: o Backup & recovery (RMAN, native tools). o Performance tuning, query optimization. o Database migration, patching, and upgrades. o High Availability (RAC, Data Guard, replication). Soft Skills: o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. o Effective communication and stakeholder management. o Ability to handle critical incidents and work under pressure. o Ownership and proactive approach.
