Overview

The MRI Technologist - Imaging Float Pool position at OhioHealth involves preparing patients for MRI tests, assisting radiologists, and operating MRI equipment. The role requires a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency while providing care and ensuring accurate imaging procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for MRI testing and conduct thorough screening.
  • Assist radiologists during MRI procedures.
  • Operate MRI equipment including magnet, injectors, and patient monitors.
  • Adjust pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis.
  • Perform daily safety and quality control checks.
  • Send images to PACS for interpretation and transfer for further manipulation.
  • Administer MRI contrast agents.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Radiography
  • ARRT certification or ARMIT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of MRI technology and medical imaging protocols
  • Experience in quality control and safety protocols
