Overview

The MRI Technologist at OhioHealth plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by preparing patients for MRI tests, operating MRI equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This full-time evening position is dedicated to patient care and collaboration in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for MRI testing through thorough screening and questioning
  • Operates MRI equipment for various procedures
  • Performs daily safety and quality control checks
  • Administers MRI contrast agents
  • Sends images to PACS for interpretation and reformats for further manipulation
  • Assists the radiologist during testing
  • Maintains supply inventory in assigned rooms
  • Covers call duty as assigned

Required skills

  • ARRT certification or ARMIT certification
  • NMTCB certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in MRI operation and patient preparation
  • Knowledge of radiologic technology and safety checks
