Overview

The Motor Grader Operator will be responsible for precise finish grading on various construction projects, including commercial and civil construction throughout Central Texas. This full-time role offers steady year-round work with an established excavation and grading contractor known for its quality workmanship and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate motor graders for rough and finish grading on civil construction projects
  • Perform precision finish grading for building pads, roadways, and drainage structures
  • Maintain grade tolerances using GPS and laser systems
  • Collaborate with project supervisors and crews to maintain production and quality
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
  • Perform routine equipment servicing and maintain clean work areas
  • Adhere to safety policies and OSHA requirements
  • Assist with earthwork and sitework operations as needed

Required skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating motor graders
  • Strong finish grading experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain grade accuracy with minimal supervision
  • Experience reading blueprints and grade stakes
  • Familiarity with GPS machine control systems
  • Knowledge of grading techniques and drainage requirements
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Physical ability to operate equipment and work outdoors
