We are seeking a highly motivated Motors, Controls & Instrumentation (MC&I) Product Engineer to support the development, evaluation, testing, and integration of electric motors, VFDs, controls, instrumentation, and connectivity solutions for industrial pumping systems.This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across electrical, mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and product development disciplines while solving complex real-world industrial challenges.If you have experience with motor systems, VFDs, industrial controls, instrumentation, and system integration - and want to work in a collaborative manufacturing environment where your work directly impacts product performance and innovation - we want to hear from you.What You'll DoProduct Engineering & DevelopmentEvaluate and support the development of electric motors, VFDs, and motor control systems for new and existing pumping productsSupport motor sizing, inverter matching, control loop tuning, and system optimizationCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to define technical requirementsControls & Systems IntegrationConfigure and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocolsSupport integration of Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, CAN/CANopen, and related communication systemsAssist with instrumentation specification, I/O validation, and controls integrationConnectivity & Remote MonitoringSupport telemetry and remote monitoring technologies including Wi-Fi, cellular, and LoRa/LPWAN communicationsAssist with networking and connectivity troubleshooting for smart pumping systemsTesting & ValidationDevelop and execute product validation and reliability testingSupport test lab capability development and motor/VFD evaluation processesPerform failure analysis, FMEA/DFMEA activities, and root cause investigationsManufacturing & Customer SupportSupport pilot builds, manufacturing launch activities, and product release effortsProvide technical troubleshooting support for motors, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systemsCoordinate with suppliers and support compliance efforts related to UL, CSA, and CE requirementsWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field3-5 years of experience in motor systems, electromechanical product engineering, controls engineering, or industrial automationExperience with: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLC programming and troubleshooting, HMI and SCADA systems, Industrial instrumentation and controls, and Industrial communication protocolsAbility to read and interpret: P&IDs, Wiring diagrams, Electrical schematics, and I/O listsHands-on troubleshooting and system integration experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with pumping systems or rotating equipmentUnderstanding of telemetry, wireless communications, and industrial networkingFamiliarity with reliability engineering methods including FMEA/DFMEAExperience working with UL, CSA, or CE product compliance standardsMaster's degree preferredWhy Join Wilo?Global manufacturer with strong investment in innovation and technologyCollaborative engineering and manufacturing environmentOpportunity to work on advanced industrial pumping and smart system technologiesExposure to cross-functional teams and product lifecycle ownershipCompetitive compensation and benefits packageCareer growth opportunities within a global organizationBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off & HolidaysCareer Development OpportunitiesCollaborative Team EnvironmentGlobal Exposure & Innovation-Focused CultureApply Today!Join a company where engineer
