Overview

As a BMO Mortgage Specialist in Moncton, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership. This position offers an opportunity for individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit to thrive with industry-leading training and support while building a strong referral network. You will actively identify sales opportunities and foster relationships to drive business results in the mortgage financing market.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with a referral network to build mortgage business.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer to other BMO colleagues as necessary.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and sales programs.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences to enhance community presence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and act as a customer advocate during the mortgage application process.
  • Document updates in BMO's internal systems regarding customer transactions and opportunities.
  • Seek cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the branch.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
  • Analyze data and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or related fields.
  • Post-secondary degree in related fields or equivalent education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Expertise in personal banking, investments, and commercial lending.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
