Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a vital role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership by managing relationships and driving mortgage business. You will receive leading training and support while working to build a successful referral network and execute effective marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivates and manages relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of mortgage business.
  • Identifies sales opportunities and refers potential clients to relevant BMO colleagues.
  • Implements targeted marketing programs and promotions to drive business results.
  • Acts as an advocate for customers during the mortgage application and processing stages.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service and resolves client issues in a timely manner.
  • Participates in community events to enhance the bank's presence.
  • Documents updates in internal systems to track customer opportunities and transactions.
  • Engages with referral networks to generate mortgage originations.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or related field
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements
  • Expertise in customer service and relationship management
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and commercial lending
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
