Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership. With access to industry-leading training and support, you will build and manage a referral network to drive mortgage business and enhance BMO's market presence in home financing.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build a mortgage business pipeline.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
  • Conduct independent analysis and resolve strategic issues.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation.
  • Participate in trade shows and events to enhance community presence.
  • Support the delivery of targeted marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Document updates in internal systems regarding customer opportunities and transactions.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills
  • Negotiation and influence skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and real estate industry
