Overview

BMO Financial is seeking a Mortgage Specialist in Victoria, British Columbia, to help customers achieve their dream of home ownership. The role involves building and managing a referral network, identifying sales opportunities, and providing marketing and customer service support throughout the mortgage application process.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build new mortgage business.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer clients to appropriate BMO colleagues.
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs.
  • Participate in community events to enhance the bank's presence.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation.
  • Resolve customer service issues and escalate complex matters as needed.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or related fields.
  • Understanding of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking and investments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
