Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial in Moncton, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your entrepreneurial spirit to build relationships and expand a referral network, supported by industry-leading training and competitive referral programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with referral network to generate mortgage business
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as needed
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results
  • Engage with customers throughout the mortgage application and processing activities
  • Create local partnerships and lead discussions about home financing solutions
  • Participate in community events to enhance the Bank's presence
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Analyze customer needs and offer recommendations for banking products
  • Document updates in BMO's internal systems for transaction status
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent
  • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Expertise in personal banking and relationship management
  • Behavioral and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
