Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers on their journey to home ownership through mortgage solutions. You will leverage your entrepreneurial spirit and industry-leading training to cultivate a referral network, identify sales opportunities, and drive business results while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer customers to appropriate BMO colleagues.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs.
  • Support targeted marketing programs and promotions.
  • Assist customers throughout the mortgage application and processing activities.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation.
  • Resolve customer service issues and ensure timely fund advancement.
  • Engage in community presence activities such as trade shows and conferences.
  • Document updates in internal systems for access to customer opportunities.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a financial or banking role.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements.
