Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve home ownership through mortgage financing. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your entrepreneurial spirit, supported by industry-leading training and a robust referral network, to meet sales targets and enhance BMO's market presence in home financing.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer customers to appropriate BMO colleagues.
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
  • Participate in community events to enhance the Bank's presence.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Resolve customer service issues and ensure timely advancement of funds.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for business strategy.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Expert knowledge of personal banking, investments, and mortgage market.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships.
