Overview

As a BMO Mortgage Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping customers achieve home ownership while enhancing BMO's share in the home financing market. This position offers industry-leading training and support, enabling you to cultivate relationships and build a referral network to drive mortgage business and sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with a referral network
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as needed
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs
  • Assist in implementing targeted marketing programs and promotions
  • Proactively contact referral sources and create partnerships for discussions on home financing
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the mortgage application process
  • Collaborate with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation
  • Resolve customer service issues and ensure timely fund advancement
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations
  • Document customer interactions and transaction statuses

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field
  • Understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and cash management
  • Ability to collaborate and influence effectively
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
