Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership. You will leverage industry-leading training and support while building and managing a referral network to enhance BMO's position in the home financing market.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivates and manages relationships with a referral network
  • Identifies sales opportunities and refers clients to BMO colleagues
  • Develops and executes marketing and sales programs
  • Proactively contacts referral and origination sources
  • Participates in trade shows and community events
  • Delivers exceptional customer service and support
  • Helps customers throughout mortgage application and processing
  • Documents updates in BMO's internal systems
  • Analyzes data to provide insights and recommendations
  • Completes transactions in compliance with guidelines and requirements

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Expertise in personal lending and relationship management
  • Knowledge of personal banking and mortgage market
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills
