Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a critical role in helping customers achieve their home ownership dreams by developing and managing relationships with potential clients and referral networks. Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with referral networks to build a pipeline of mortgage business
  • Identify and refer sales opportunities to BMO colleagues as appropriate
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs
  • Participate in community events to enhance the Bank's presence
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during the mortgage application process
  • Provide guidance and support throughout customer interactions
  • Document updates and manage customer data within BMO's internal systems
  • Analyze industry trends and customer needs to inform strategies
  • Collaborate with branch teams for customer handoffs and support
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Customer service and relationship management experience
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and cash management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
