Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial in Laval, Quebec, you will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve their home ownership dreams. Key responsibilities

  • Cultivates and manages relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business.
  • Identifies sales opportunities and refers to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  • Develops and executes effective marketing and sales programs.
  • Contacts referral sources to discuss home financing solutions.
  • Assists in implementing targeted marketing programs and promotions.
  • Seeks cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to meet sales goals.
  • Participates in community events to enhance the Bank's presence.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Collaborates with branch teams for customer handoff and finalization of mortgage documentation.
  • Addresses customer service issues as per established parameters.

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or financial services.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending processes and regulations.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and the real estate industry.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively.
