Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, you will play a key role in helping customers achieve their home ownership dreams. With access to industry-leading training and a focus on building a strong referral network, you will develop sales strategies and marketing programs to drive mortgage business while adhering to corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build mortgage business.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer clients to appropriate BMO colleagues.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs.
  • Proactively contact referral sources to discuss home financing solutions.
  • Support targeted marketing programs and promotions.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Establish community presence by participating in trade shows and events.
  • Guide customers through the mortgage application process.
  • Resolve or escalate customer service issues as needed.
  • Document updates in internal systems and analyze data for insights.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulations.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking and investment services.
  • Knowledge of the real estate industry and mortgage market.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
