Overview

BMO Financial is seeking a Mortgage Specialist in Dorval, Quebec, who will play a key role in helping customers achieve home ownership. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your entrepreneurial spirit with significant earning potential, supported by comprehensive training and a strong referral network.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivates and manages relationships with a referral network to increase mortgage business.
  • Identifies sales opportunities and refers to appropriate BMO colleagues.
  • Develops and executes marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
  • Participates in local and national partnerships to promote home financing solutions.
  • Supports the delivery of targeted marketing programs and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
  • Provides exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Collaborates with branch teams for customer hand-offs and documentation finalization.
  • Analyzes data to provide insights and supports operational program planning.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory requirements in all transactions.
  • Documents updates and maintains operational integrity in processes.

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in banking or related field.
  • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and business lending.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in collaboration and teamwork.
