Overview

As a Mortgage Specialist at BMO Financial, you will play a critical role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership while driving mortgage sales through effective networking and relationship management. In this position, you will receive industry-leading training and support, allowing you to build a successful referral network and execute marketing strategies to enhance business results.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to develop mortgage business.
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Expand the referral network to generate new mortgage originations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Document updates in BMO's internal systems for access to customer statuses.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or financial services.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and commercial lending.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders.
