Overview

BMO Financial is seeking a Mortgage Specialist in Laval, Quebec, to support customers in achieving home ownership. This role involves building referral networks, identifying sales opportunities, and driving marketing programs within a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth and entrepreneurial success.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with referral sources to build a mortgage business pipeline.
  • Identify sales opportunities and collaborate with colleagues for effective referrals.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales programs.
  • Assist in creating and executing targeted promotional initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and guidance throughout the mortgage application process.
  • Address and resolve customer service issues effectively.
  • Increase the bank's community presence through participation in events.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation.
  • Analyze data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with operational integrity and corporate policies.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or related fields.
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent education.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process.
  • Strong sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking and commercial lending.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
