Overview

Join BMO as a Mortgage Specialist and help customers achieve their dream of home ownership. In this role, you will leverage your entrepreneurial spirit and strong relationship management skills to cultivate a referral network and drive mortgage sales. With industry-leading training and support, you will have the opportunity to expand your network and participate in targeted marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of mortgage business
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer customers as appropriate
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs
  • Assist with targeted marketing programs and promotions
  • Expand network by obtaining referrals and originations
  • Participate in community events to enhance the Bank's presence
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and guide customers through the mortgage process
  • Collaborate with branch teams to finalize mortgage documentation
  • Address customer service issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for business strategy

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in banking or related field
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending process and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Expertise in personal lending and relationship management
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and business lending
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaboration and influence skills
