BMO Financial is seeking a Mortgage Specialist in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who will play a vital role in helping customers achieve their dream of home ownership. This position involves cultivating relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and executing effective marketing strategies while providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the mortgage application process.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivates and manages relationships with a network to generate new mortgage business
  • Identifies sales opportunities and refers to appropriate BMO colleagues
  • Develops and executes marketing and sales programs to drive business results
  • Contacts referral sources to discuss home financing solutions
  • Creates local partnerships to enhance mortgage origination
  • Provides exceptional customer service and guides clients through application processes
  • Completes onboarding activities and delivers timely resolutions to customer issues
  • Analyzes consumer needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Documents updates and maintains operational integrity in transactions
  • Engages with referral networks to generate mortgage originations

Required skills

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and cash management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
