Overview

BMO Financial is seeking a Mortgage Specialist to help customers achieve their home ownership dreams in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec. This role offers entrepreneurial opportunities along with industry-leading training and support to build a referral network and increase home financing market share.

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with referral networks to increase mortgage business
  • Identify sales opportunities and refer clients to BMO colleagues
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results
  • Assist with targeted marketing programs and promotions
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process
  • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
  • Engage in community presence through events and partnerships
  • Document all customer updates and transactions accurately in internal systems

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending or related fields
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent education/experience
  • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending process and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, and commercial lending
  • Fluency in French and English
