Overview

BMO Financial is seeking a Mortgage Specialist in Beaver Dam, New Brunswick, to help customers achieve home ownership. This role involves cultivating relationships within a referral network, actively seeking sales opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage application process.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with a referral network to generate new mortgage business
  • Identify and act on sales opportunities, referring clients to appropriate BMO colleagues
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales programs to drive business results
  • Support targeted marketing initiatives and expand community presence through events
  • Provide exceptional customer service and guidance during the mortgage process
  • Conduct independent analysis to resolve strategic issues and document customer interactions
  • Collaborate with branch teams for a seamless handoff of customers
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • In-depth understanding of mortgage lending and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Expert knowledge of personal lending and relationship management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage relationships
