Overview

The Mortgage Loan Processing Specialist at Peoples Bank is responsible for processing, preparing documents, and funding new loans. Reporting directly to the Mortgage Loan Underwriter Officer, this role involves managing the loan pipeline, assisting customers with inquiries, and performing post-closing functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide loan processing support including underwriting and documentation maintenance
  • Manage the loan pipeline to ensure timely processing of files
  • Handle customer inquiries and assist with loan-related questions
  • Prepare closing packages and execute post-closing duties
  • Maintain a loan tickler system and perform periodic audits on files
  • Provide administrative support to the Real Estate Department including filing and imaging loan packages
  • Identify and report HMDA information for real estate files
  • Set up and maintain escrow accounts and process distributions
