Overview

The Mortgage Loan Officer at Coulee Bank is responsible for originating consumer home mortgage loans while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves building and maintaining a strong network of referral sources, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborating with various departments to achieve loan origination goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer service in the origination of mortgage loans
  • Build and maintain referral sources to generate loan income
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and investor guidelines for all loan transactions
  • Assess and evaluate the credit worthiness of applicants
  • Originate investor-quality mortgage loans meeting revenue goals
  • Maintain customer records and ensure routine contact
  • Participate in community events to promote the bank's mortgage services
  • Develop and implement successful marketing strategies
  • Attend regular training to stay updated on industry trends and regulations

Required skills

  • 3+ years of prior mortgage lending experience
  • Loan volume greater than $8 million in the past 12 months
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Knowledge of office methods and practices
  • Ability to establish relationships within the community
