Overview

Generations Home Loans is looking for mortgage professionals with operational experience ready to transition into a client-facing Mortgage Loan Officer role. The position focuses on managing relationships with borrowers and real estate partners, utilizing operational expertise to foster business development and provide a smooth mortgage experience from application to closing.

Key responsibilities

  • Transition operational mortgage knowledge into a client-facing origination role focused on purchase business development
  • Build referral relationships with real estate professionals, past clients, and local market contacts
  • Guide borrowers through loan options, documentation needs, application steps, and transaction milestones
  • Set clear expectations and support communication throughout the loan process using mortgage operations understanding
  • Partner with internal teams to move loans efficiently from application through clear-to-close

Required skills

  • Active NMLS License in good standing
  • Experience with purchase-focused residential mortgage origination
  • Ability to generate and maintain agent-based referral business
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing in CA, WA, OR, UT, or ID
