Overview

The Mortgage Consultant at Partners Bank is responsible for originating various consumer residential loans in compliance with established policies and regulatory requirements. This full-time, hybrid role emphasizes building strong relationships with real estate brokers and other sources of referrals to enhance the bank's lending network.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate consumer residential loans in accordance with policies and regulations
  • Provide exceptional responsiveness and lending knowledge
  • Promote the bank to real estate brokers and builders to increase referrals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with centers of influence and internal referral sources
  • Submit accurate loan files with supporting documentation
  • Manage loan applications from origination to closing using applicable technology
  • Maintain regular contact with borrowers and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with processors to manage loan pipeline and ensure closing commitments
  • Cross-sell additional banking products when appropriate

Required skills

  • Minimum of three years of residential lending and sales experience
  • Knowledge of lending and underwriting policies and procedures
  • Strong sales, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
