Overview

Partners Bank is seeking a Mortgage Consultant to join their Retail Lending department in Buxton, Maine. This full-time role involves originating residential loans, managing client relationships, and promoting the bank's services to enhance referrals and networks in the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate a variety of consumer residential loans in accordance with policies and regulations
  • Promote the bank to real estate brokers, builders, and other referral sources
  • Uncover residential loan opportunities through networking
  • Develop and maintain relationships with centers of influence
  • Submit accurate loan files with supporting documentation
  • Enter loan applications and manage loan files until closing
  • Maintain contact with borrowers and involved parties weekly
  • Work with assigned Processor to ensure timely loan closings
  • Cross-sell or refer additional products as appropriate

Required skills

  • Three years of residential lending and sales experience
  • Knowledge of lending and underwriting policies
  • Strong sales, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in applicable technology for loan management
