Overview

Weichert Financial Services is seeking a Mortgage Advisor in Ocean County, NJ. This role involves representing the company and originating residential mortgage loans, developing customer relationships, and working closely with Realtor partners to facilitate the home-buying process. Mortgage Advisors benefit from leads generated by the company and access to a wide range of mortgage programs and technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Develops relationships with new and current customers, realtors, builders, and referral partners.
  • Generates leads through personal network and follows up on company-provided leads.
  • Issues fully assessed pre-approvals through the qualification process.
  • Provides needs analysis and suggests suitable mortgage programs.
  • Submits complete mortgage loan applications for underwriting.
  • Stays updated on market conditions affecting loan products.
  • Communicates with all participants during the loan origination process.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Updates lead portals, CRM, and other tracking software regularly.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • State loan originator license(s) as required
  • 1-3 years of retail mortgage loan origination experience preferred
  • Financial sales, real estate, or mortgage operations experience
  • Ability to determine interest rate quotes and maximum qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary mortgage software
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and superior customer service skills
  • Strong math skills
