Overview

Weichert Financial Services is seeking a Mortgage Advisor in Germantown, Maryland, to assist clients in achieving their homeownership goals. This role involves originating residential mortgage loans, developing customer relationships, and collaborating with Realtor partners to guide prospects through the mortgage process.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, realtors, builders, attorneys, and referral partners
  • Generate leads through personal network and follow up on company-provided leads
  • Issue fully assessed pre-approvals and conduct needs analysis for prospects
  • Submit complete and accurate mortgage loan applications
  • Stay updated on market conditions affecting loan products
  • Communicate regularly with all participants in the loan origination process
  • Provide excellent customer service and solutions for customer concerns
  • Collaborate with Weichert Team representatives
  • Update lead portals, CRM, and other tracking software regularly
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, company policies, and investor guidelines

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Individual state loan originator license(s)
  • 1 to 3 years of retail mortgage loan origination experience preferred
  • General financial sales or mortgage operations experience
  • Ability to determine interest rate quotes and maximum qualification amounts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional math skills
