Job Description

Overview

BioMérieux is seeking a Molecular Biology Summer Intern in Salt Lake City, Utah, to contribute to early-stage research or product development projects. Interns will work under supervision and engage in various lab activities, including molecular biology work, data analysis, and teamwork in a biotechnology environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform general laboratory duties
  • Conduct wet lab molecular biology work
  • Assist in planning and setup activities for research studies
  • Participate in data analysis and presentation
  • Co-develop and test new research productivity tools
  • Maintain accurate records of work
  • Listen actively while receiving instructions
  • Engage in research team meetings
  • Prepare preliminary analyses of experimental data for review
  • Document all work in compliance with BioMérieux Quality Management System

Required skills

  • Strong interest in biotechnology, biology, microbiology, and/or diagnostics
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or coursework with a lab component
  • Comfort with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
