Overview

Vital Plastics LLC is seeking a Mold Technician for their Baldwin, Wisconsin location. This role involves setting up and cycling various Plastic Injection molding machines, making process adjustments, and ensuring the quality of parts produced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, set up, process, and troubleshoot injection molding machines
  • Make process adjustments to optimize production efficiency
  • Set up and adjust auxiliary equipment and robotic systems
  • Follow Molding Work Instructions (MWI) and production documentation
  • Identify and resolve molding process issues and quality-related defects
  • Perform job changeovers and record downtime and scrap/rejects
  • Ensure compliance with material and product containment procedures
  • Communicate tooling concerns to the Tooling Department
  • Report equipment issues to the Maintenance Department
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 years Injection Molding Experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including data entry
  • Delmiaworks (IQMS) ERP system experience (desired)
  • Overhead hoist and forklift experience (desired)
