Job Description

Overview

ProMed Molded Products Inc is seeking a motivated Mold Maker to join their new product development facility in Plymouth, MN. This role focuses on building injection molds and related tools that meet stringent quality standards, while also offering opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabricate precision injection molds from CAD models and drawings
  • Collaborate with senior mold makers on mold building and maintenance
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment with minimal supervision
  • Modify or repair existing molds and fixtures according to engineering specifications
  • Conduct quality inspections of mold components
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machining equipment
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain cleanliness in the tool room

Required skills

  • 2 years technical or trade school degree in tool making or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Mold Maker
  • Intermediate understanding of programming (CAM) software
  • Experience with 3 or 5-axis mills, sinker EDM, and grinders
  • Proficiency with general shop measuring equipment
  • Humble personality with a willingness to learn
  • Regular and reliable attendance
