Overview

ProMed Molded Products Inc is seeking a motivated Mold Maker to join their team in Plymouth, MN. This role involves building injection molds and related tools while ensuring high quality standards. With a commitment to improving health and well-being, ProMed emphasizes collaboration and integrity in their operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabricate precision injection molds from CAD models and drawings
  • Collaborate with senior mold makers for mold building experience
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment
  • Modify or repair existing molds and fixtures per engineering specifications
  • Conduct quality inspections of mold components
  • Maintain machining equipment through routine preventative maintenance
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean tool room

Required skills

  • 2 years technical or trade school degree with tool making emphasis
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Mold Maker
  • Intermediate understanding of CAM software
  • Experience with 3 or 5-axis mills, sinker EDM, and grinders
  • Proficient with measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for precision
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Humble personality with a willingness to learn
