Overview

ProMed Molded Products Inc. is seeking a motivated Mold Maker to join their new product development facility in Plymouth, MN. This intermediate-level role offers the opportunity to build injection molds and components while working closely with senior Mold Makers to ensure high-quality results. The company emphasizes collaboration and integrity, striving to impact healthcare positively through their products.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabricate precision injection molds from CAD models and drawings
  • Collaborate with senior mold makers for experience in mold building and maintenance
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment with minimal supervision
  • Modify or repair existing molds and fixtures as required
  • Conduct quality inspections of in-process and finished mold components
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machining equipment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain a clean and orderly tool room

Required skills

  • 2 years technical or trade school degree with emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience
  • 5 years experience as a Mold Maker
  • Intermediate understanding of CAM software
  • Experience with CNC machining equipment including 3 and 5-axis mills, sinker EDM, and grinders
  • Ability to use general shop measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Willingness to learn from team and bring new ideas
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
  • Professional and courteous personality
  • Experience with Mastercam or CAM-TOOL (preferred)
  • Silicone mold building experience (preferred)
