Overview

The Module Development Engineer at Intel is responsible for driving technology development that supports high volume manufacturing and future advancements in semiconductor processes. This role involves the design and development of sophisticated manufacturing processes along with feasibility studies and collaborations with key suppliers to enhance production efficiency and meet device specifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive technology development for high volume manufacturing and future technologies
  • Lead design and development of manufacturing processes including reverse engineering
  • Perform feasibility studies to meet device specifications
  • Conduct pathfinding activities for innovative device architectures
  • Recommend and implement modifications to improve production efficiency
  • Partner with equipment and materials suppliers to develop technology solutions
  • Stay updated on industrial process and material manufacturing trends

Required skills

  • PhD or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM fiel
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with a PhD, 6+ years with a Master's, or 9+ years with a Bachelor's degree
  • Hands-on experience in dry etch semiconductor manufacturing
  • Strong command of plasma etch fundamentals
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and DOE methodologies using tools like JMP, Python, or MATLAB
  • Experience with advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment
  • Preferred experience with advanced dry etch technologies
