Overview

The Module Development Engineer at Intel is responsible for driving technology development in high volume manufacturing and future technologies. This role involves leading the design and development of complex manufacturing processes and equipment solutions, as well as performing feasibility studies to meet specific device specifications and improve production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive technology development for high volume manufacturing and future technologies.
  • Lead design and development of manufacturing processes and equipment integration.
  • Perform feasibility studies through theoretical simulations and engineering methods.
  • Partner with equipment and materials suppliers to enhance technology implementation.
  • Recommend modifications to improve production efficiency and techniques.
  • Conduct pathfinding activities for innovative device architectures.

Required skills

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or semiconductor related STEM field.
  • Hands-on experience in dry etch semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong command of plasma etch fundamentals.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and DOE methodologies with tools like JMP, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom.
  • Ability to lead technical problem solving across projects.
