Overview

The Mobile Trailer Technician at TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is responsible for performing trailer inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and delivering high-quality service in the field while representing a leading transportation maintenance network.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to mobile service calls and complete on-site trailer repairs
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot trailer issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
  • Repair and replace trailer components including brake systems, suspension systems, and electrical wiring
  • Perform welding and fabrication work as required
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
  • Manage inventory and parts on service vehicle
  • Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Required skills

  • Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Mobile Mechanic, or Fleet Maintenance Technician
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with welding, brake systems, suspension, and electrical repair
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
