Paul Davis Restoration Mitigation TechnicianThe Mitigation Technician is an expert in the property restoration industry, primarily responsible for responding to emergency and urgent property damage at our customers' homes and businesses. Our team helps the customer recover from a property loss with skill, knowledge, and professionalism while working safely.$20.00 - $25.00 per hour (+ overtime opportunities and on-call bonus)Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k) benefitsPaid Holiday, Vacation & Sick DaysCell Phone AllowanceAdvancement OpportunitiesPaid Training and Certification for IICRC WRT, IIRC FRST & NYS Mold AbatementApplicants with relevant experience and IICRC certifications may be able to start immediately as a Senior Mitigation Technician, with higher pay.Responsibilities:Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or moldAssess and document damage within the propertyEvaluate and record damage to all items within the propertyDemolition of structural damage to properties, utilizing hand and power toolsPerform initial site inspectionsMonitor and document site conditionsDeploy restoration equipment according to industry and company guidelinesComplete assigned tasks and take notes in our primary software system (RMS)Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the processCompetency Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent customer service skillsAbility to participate in an on-call scheduleComfort with technology (Smartphone, iPad, computer)Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, Mitigate, and additional systems, as requestedAbility to document work by taking photos and detailed notesAbility to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to faceAbility to work independently and / or with a teamAbility to work within hazardous environments safelyAbility to operate a company vehicle safelyMaintain a level of confidentialityPreferred Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDCustomer Service experience1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position, or equivalent schoolingCurrent IICRC certifications are a plusPhysical Requirement:Constantly move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spacesOccasionally requires a ladder to complete jobsMust be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to faceFrequently will lift up to 60lbsAbility to safely operate a company vehiclePaul Davis is proud of our 56-year legacy of serving people in their time of need.
