Overview

Cargill is seeking a Mining Utility Technician to join their Food Enterprise team in Interlaken, New York. This role involves performing various industrial maintenance tasks including preventative and reactive maintenance on mobile support equipment and infrastructure within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance
  • Service, inspect, and operate mobile support equipment such as forklifts and trucks
  • Perform routine tasks to ensure operational reliability of assets
  • Document completed work utilizing maintenance computer software
  • Operate standard maintenance tools, including pneumatic and power tools
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Experience in industrial maintenance
  • Understanding of safety compliance
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment
  • Proficient in preventative maintenance and repair
  • Experience with pneumatic tools
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions including underground mining environments
  • Experience with SAP or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus
