Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Millwright in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the planer machine. This role involves ensuring proper machine setup, performing preventive maintenance, and executing minor repairs while adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and adhere to safety rules
  • Perform critical measurements using a caliper
  • Maintain and operate the planer machine
  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Assist maintenance with major repairs as needed
  • Feed the planer to ensure a constant lumber flow
  • Change knives and maintain proper tolerances
  • Conduct housekeeping as assigned
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training
