Overview

Olymel is seeking a motivated Millwright to join their dynamic team in Brampton, Ontario. This role involves collaborative work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on operational efficiency and quality in mechanical maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • Report food safety and quality issues to authorized personnel
  • Perform work according to GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA, and established regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and equipment
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices for machinery installation and repair
  • Inspect and examine machinery to detect irregularities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Adjust machinery, repair or replace defective parts
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate parts during maintenance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery
  • Construct foundations for machinery or direct others in construction
  • Assemble machinery and equipment using hand and power tools and welding
