Overview

Solstice Consulting Group is looking for a Midstream Lead Field Service Specialist for their Oil & Gas Equipment client. This role involves significant travel across the Utica/Marcellus shale region and focuses on hands-on technical work within the oil and gas sector, particularly concerning dehydration and gas processing systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain midstream systems and associated process equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, automation, and mechanical issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Work with control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Document service activities and maintenance records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate job progress to clients.
  • Support engineering and operations with field feedback.

Required skills

  • 7+ years of field service experience in oil & gas or related systems.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation skills.
  • Technical diploma or equivalent experience in relevant disciplines.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Basic knowledge of process flow for pumps, valves, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Experience with midstream gas processing systems.
